From 7-9 November 2022, the eighth Southeast Asia Freedom of Religion or Belief (SEAFORB) Conference was held in Bali, Indonesia. The SEAFORB Conference is an assembly of religious freedom advocates who are dedicated to promote religious freedom in Southeast Asia. This assembly is an ongoing project to advance FORB, bringing religious equality and liberty for all individuals.
During the conference, attendees discussed the relationship between gender and freedom of religion or belief (FoRB). A breakout session hosted by Stefanus Alliance International included two presentations, one of which focused on the Indonesian context. Stefanus Alliance International also provided an educational booklet titled “Freedom of Religion or Belief for Everyone: Women in Focus” that is available for download.
