Shairbek Dzhuraev is co-founder and president of Crossroads Central Asia research institute and a visiting lecturer at the OSCE Academy in Bishkek. Previously, he served as the deputy director at the OSCE Academy in Bishkek, dean of academic development and chair of the International and Comparative Politics department at the American University of Central Asia. Shairbek is a member of PONARS Eurasia and serves in advisory groups for the EU-Central Asia Monitoring and the European Neighbourhood Council. He offers regular research consultancy on topics in politics, development and peacebuilding in Kyrgyzstan. Shairbek holds a PhD in International Relations from the University of St Andrews and an MSc in International Relations from the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE).
