Hi everyone! What an exciting platform 🙂
I work with Amplio, based in Seattle. Amplio’s mission is to facilitate knowledge sharing with the world’s hardest to reach communities. We do this through our Talking Book, an audio device which can deliver informational and behavior change content in local languages to remote, off-grid communities.
I have deep experience with program design, strategic planning, and monitoring and evaluation. Previously, I was living and working in Uganda with financial inclusion and women’s empowerment programs. Looking forward to connecting and sharing our knowledge and experience!

Hi Lindsay, welcome!
Thank you for introducing yourself to the ConnexUs community 🙂
Amplio’s mission and its Talking Book are important contributions to knowledge-sharing efforts in light of the pervasive digital divide.
Thank you for sharing your valuable work and experience! We can’t wait to see your future contributions.

Hi all!
My name is Julia Canney (she/her), and I am the Policy and Communications Associate for Impact:Peace at the Kroc Institute for Peace and Justice. I am based in Washington, DC and work globally with Impact:Peace partners and researchers on evidenced-based solutions to peacebuilding and violence.
I am a big fan of the work that DME for Peace and the larger SFCG team does (thanks to Jack and the ‘Connections’ team for facilitating an amazing friendship with Maria this year 🙂 ) and can’t wait to see where the platform goes! To me, it represents a great opportunity to connect with like-minded practitioners and policymakers, and almost gives a ‘Reddit’-type forum for us to discuss new and exciting initiatives. I am also particularly excited about the Resource Library, and would be happy to share any interesting resources on COVID-19 that Impact:Peace has been collecting for the past year.

What you said certainly resonates with our vision for our platform and we’re so grateful to have members like you as we build out this community. Please feel free to upload any resources you have to the Resource Library at any time–we’d love to see them, and could feature them here and on our social media channels!
