Discussion
Guidelines

By participating in the discussion forums on ConnexUs, users agree to only send and receive messages and material that are proper and related to authorized use. For example and not as a limitation, users must follow these guidelines:

  1. Avoid redundancy.
If creating a thread, check if there is already a discussion thread on the topic and upvote/contribute to it instead of creating another thread with the same information.
  2. Post in relevant sub-forums only.
Messages posted in the wrong topic area will be removed and placed in the correct sub-forum by moderators.
  3. Stay on topic.
Do not post irrelevant links, comments, thoughts, or pictures.
  4. Be credible.
Include citations where applicable or necessary, and do not knowingly post misinformation. Whether posted knowingly or unknowingly, a false post could be removed and you will be given an explanation.
  5. No spam.
Do not advertise or offer to sell any goods or services, solicit money or services, conduct or forward surveys, contests, or chain letters.
  6. Respect other users.
If disagreeing, do so respectfully and acknowledge that others are entitled to have their own perspective on the issue. Comments should be constructive and discourse should be positively oriented and should not insult or berate fellow forum members. Users who post inflammatory comments will be deleted from the forum
    .
  7. Civil conduct.
Do not defame, abuse, harass, stalk, threaten, or otherwise violate the legal rights of any other person, including but not limited to the rights of privacy and publicity. Any instance of abusive, threatening, or harassing behaviour is grounds for deletion from the platform.
  8. No illegal or inappropriate content.
No reposting of copyrighted materials or other illegal content is allowed. Do not publish, post, distribute, or disseminate any defamatory, infringing, obscene, indecent, or unlawful material or information. Any posts containing illegal content or copyrighted materials will be deleted.
  9. Safe files.
Do not upload files that contain software or other material protected by intellectual property laws (or by rights of privacy and publicity) unless you own or control the rights thereto or have received all necessary consents. Do not upload files that contain viruses, corrupted files, or any other similar software or programs that may damage the operation of another’s computer. Publishing of such files may result in the deletion of your account.
  10. Report responsibly.
When responding to a violation of these guidelines, use the report feature available under each post and comment.
