Job Description:
The Paris Peace Forum is an initiative launched in 2018 to create a multi-actor platform in Paris to address global governance issues. Throughout the year, the Forum works to strengthen the governance of global commons, such as outer space, cyberspace, or the oceans, and improve the international management of global issues, the development of artificial intelligence and disruptive technologies, or the ecological and social transition of the economy. Its annual event gathers heads of state, government and international organization, as well as civil society and private sector leaders, around concrete initiatives, with an emphasis on the global South.
The team of the Permanent Secretariat, composed of varied and versatile profiles (diplomacy, public relations, communication, programming, operations, etc.), is currently looking for a “Partnerships Officer” to reinforce its Fundraising team.
The Partnerships Department’s mission is to raise funds from public and private organizations to finance the work of the Paris Peace Forum from policy programs to the annual event. Partnerships offer these organizations the possibility to take an active part in the event via the benefits extended.
The work will take place in the Partnerships Department, within the Permanent Secretariat of the Paris Peace Forum.
MAIN ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Work with partners and Forum teams to deliver proposed benefits
Coordinate or lead partner’s participation in the fifth edition of the Forum, on 10-11 November, including:
- Preparation of partners’ events: panel discussions, roundtables, social events and other formats, liaising with partners, the program team, and other Departments, as relevant;
- Accreditation of partners and their delegations;
- Manage and support partners during the event, for the delivery of their benefits.
Coordinate or support cross-cutting projects relevant to partners, including:
- Coordination of the “concierge service”, which facilitates connections between high-level personalities at the Forum, liaising with relevant Departments;
- Coordinate partners’ participation in high-level social events (policy dinners, receptions) organized by the Secretariat on the margin of the Forum, liaising with relevant Departments and Paris-based organizations.
Support the Partnerships Department in its overall fundraising and event delivery missions, based on needs and depending on candidate’s profile.
PROFILE
• Education level : Bachelor or Master in International Relations or relevant field;
• Minimum 2 years of successful professional experience;
• Bilingual English and French;
• Experience delivering an event and interacting with high-level personalities and their teams.
SKILLS & QUALITIES REQUIRED
• High-level of rigour and autonomy;
• Team player;
• Ability to adapt and work with tight deadlines.
CONDITIONS
Full-time, fixed-term contract (CDD) starting as soon as possible running through December 31, 2023.
The Paris Peace Forum Permanent Secretariat is located in Paris (15th arrondissement). All or part of the work may be done from home, depending on health conditions and on the instructions of the Secretariat management.
Remuneration according to the salary scale + contribution to lunches, transport costs and health insurance.
