Report: 10 Demands, 10 Years After the Genocide by ISIL

To commemorate the tenth anniversary of the genocide waged by the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) against Iraq’s diverse communities, SEED Foundation, Jiyan Foundation for Human Rights, and Yazda, in collaboration with the Coalition for Just Reparations (C4JR), are proud to release a new report featuring ten priority demands of survivors that remain unmet a decade after the genocide. This report was developed based on consultations with members of the Yazidi, Turkmen, Christian, and Shabak communities. By amplifying their perspectives and insights, we hope to draw renewed attention to the situation of survivors living in Iraq and abroad, and advocate for robust solutions to alleviate their suffering.

Ten years after ISIS invaded Iraq and embarked on its genocidal campaign, the impact of this horrific event is still deeply felt, and many survivors remain in a state of vulnerability. Addressing their needs is crucial for the prospects of recovery, reintegration, and a dignified life in the aftermath of immeasurable harm.
