The estimated 200,000 displaced<br \/>\nhouseholds continue to face significant barriers to returning to<br \/>\ntheir areas of origin and achieving durable solutions, especially<br \/>\nin the midst of internally displaced person (IDP) camp closures<br \/>\nover the last several years. Tens of thousands of IDP families have<br \/>\nconsequently been secondarily displaced, meaning that they have<br \/>\nbeen voluntarily or forcibly displaced from their current location<br \/>\nof displacement to another location.<\/p>\n<p>As a result, an estimated 103,000 secondarily displaced individuals<br \/>\ndwell in informal settlements, or sites that host five or more<br \/>\ndisplaced households living in sub-standard conditions that were<br \/>\nnot constructed to accommodate people. Families living in such<br \/>\nsites constitute one of the most complex caseloads currently left<br \/>\nin Iraq.
