Theme: What do everyday indicators say about women’s empowerment? Lessons from Sri Lanka
Purpose: The purpose of this session is to provide program designers, implementers and evaluators involved in the Women, Peace & Security (WPS) agenda with practical insights and examples of how everyday indicators can be of use in this work. Our presenters, local partners of Everyday Peace Indicators and Search for Common Ground staff based in Sri Lanka, co-presented and shared their reflections on how co-generated everyday indicators allowed a deeper understanding of the various ways in which local communities in Sri Lanka understand and experience peace and women’s empowerment.
Presenters:
- Mohammed Sadaath Ismail, Senior Program Manager of the Institutional Learning Team, Search for Common Ground Sri Lanka
- Shruthi De Visser, Research Associate, Everyday Peace Indicators
- Zahra Rizwan, Research Associate, Everyday Peace Indicators
