Oluwatoyin Adepoju is a skilled and seasoned Broadcast Journalist and Media Strategist. Her journey into the media space kick started right while she was still an undergraduate student in the university. When she began, she functioned as a freelance journalist for media houses and proceeded to refining her existing skills in developing content at the first private radio station in Ibadan, Oyo State,Nigeria. (Splash 105.5fm). Her years of being a diligent and hardworking journalist earned her the position of Head of Programmes at Splash FM. She held that position for thirteen years during which she anchored and produced different engaging talk shows and personality interviews that highlighted the strength and struggles of women. Oluwatoyin is an advocate of Women and Girls Rights and Empowerment.
In a bid to reinforce her professionalism, Adepoju has undergone several trainings on Media and Public Relations. She has trained and received certifications with the British broadcasting Company amongst many others. She has worked with the BBC minutes team got a certificate of completion. Another major certificate she has recieved is from the Youthhub Africa Online training on Understanding Sexual Consent.
Asides being very active in the Media space, Oluwatoyin Adepoju has devoted herself to a continual organized annual seminar for adolescents. The seminar focuses on adolescent Sexual reproductive health and rights. Toyin is passionate about topics that affect women and girls and she’s also concerned about organizing annual events as a rallying point to engage and empower disadvantaged groups especially women and people with disabilities. This, she intends to do by sensitizing them on their rights as women.
She spearheaded a campaign focused at orientating people on ending Gender Based Violence against women and children through her platform that she designed for highlighting the causes of abuse and narrating victim experiences via a program titled Unspoken. She also runs a Twitter Chat (@tee2tooo)online which is in partnership with @Zahara’s dream, an initiative focused on growing support for young women all over the world.
Oluwatoyin Adepoju is focused on positively impacting  the lives of women all over the world through the use of her media stream.
