Zainab Oyiza Sanni is a Broadcast Journalist passioante about Development Issues and Fact-Checking.

 

She currently works with Agidigbo Radio where she heads the investigative desk. Her work requires interaction at the grass root level, asking the controversial questions and digging up stories for impact. Some of her previous notable reports include an expose on waste management in Oyo state, Nigeria; situation report of open defecation and a sneak peek into the lives of Street kids in Nigeria with focus on 30 kids who live under the Mokola Bridge in Ibadan.

Between 2018-2019, she worked as a media ambassador on the United Nation’s Children
Emergency Fund (UNICEF) and United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) joint campaign to end Female
Genital Mutilation in Oyo State, Nigeria.

She is also the founder of News Verifier Africa, a platform dedicated to fact-checking misinformation and disinformation in Africa. She is a recipient of the African Resilience Network fellowship for Fact-Checking Journalist in Nigeria.
