M&E Thursday Talk- Ask an Evaluator! from DME for Peace on Vimeo.
This special webinar was an open discussion with DM&E professionals from across the globe, offering participants to share their advice, voice their concerns and discuss future projects with both Cindy and other attendees.
Our host, Cynthia Clapp-Wincek (Cindy), has over 30 years of experience with strategic planning, monitoring, and evaluation. She has worked in the US government as well as an independent consultant. While consulting she worked with clients of all types — public, non-profit, for profit, foundations; from large to small. As a former Director of the Office of Learning, Evaluation and Research, Cindy led the rebuilding of USAID’s evaluation program and strengthened learning, monitoring, and evaluation in USAID’s Program Cycle. This integrated evaluation program demonstrated evidence of improvement in quality, quantity and use of evaluation throughout USAID in the three years of her tenure.
Cindy’s current consulting practice focuses on areas of development where linear logic models don’t hold and other planning and evaluation approaches are needed. Much of her work focuses on peacebuilding, at the Alliance for Peacebuilding and with the Pentagon’s Security Sector Assistance.
