Youth Content Creators Promoting FoRB

Search for Common Ground Indonesia, in collaboration with Indika Foundation and Campaign, supports nineteen young content creators from the Greater Jakarta area, Bandung, Yogyakarta, and Solo. These creators were selected from 112 candidates and trained in promoting freedom of religion or belief (FORB) in an engaging and youthful manner as part of the “CREDIBLE” activities funded by USAID under the Asia Religious & Ethnic Freedom award. The initiative aims to break the echo chamber among FORB practitioners. These diverse young creators successfully integrate FORB content into their non-FORB social media accounts, blending it with anime and Japanese culture, LGBTQIA+ and disabled communities, technology, environment, and various other themes. Arisdo Gonzalez (Jakarta)

Arisdo Gonzalez (he/him/them) has been an LGBTIQA+ activist and content creator since 2017. Arisdo is a social media specialist at Yayasan Pesona Bumi Pasundan and Pelangi Nusantara. Arisdo actively voices diversity and sexual health issues on his Instagram: @arisdogonzalez @pelanginusantara_org @pesona_bumi_pasundan

Nissi Taruli Felicia (Jakarta)

Nissi Taruli Felicia is a young, deaf feminist woman. Nissi is also a content creator (@felstarnissi) who uses Indonesian Sign Language (BISINDO) in all her content. Nissi also developed FeminisThemis, a deaf community focusing on intersectional issues related to deaf women, gender equality, Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights, and sexual violence. Nissi is passionate about applying knowledge related to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion.

Ayu R. Yolandasari (Jakarta)

Ayu R. Yolanddasari (she/they) is a specialist in gender, sexuality, and mental health issues who has been active since 2013. With a background in psychology and gender studies, Ayu is a certified counselor who currently works independently, including as a research consultant, writer, facilitator, and speaker on these issues and actively sharing via the Instagram account @aryolandasari. Currently based in Jakarta and being looked after by two calico cats, Baby & KidCat.

Sarah Safira Sofiani (Jakarta)

Sarah Safira Sofiani is a branding strategist who has participated in various minimalism & eco-friendly lifestyle campaigns with Lyfewithless since 2021. Also actively supporting women’s empowerment with WEWAW Indonesia since 2020. Her various daily activities are published via her Instagram @sarsasof.

Andrew Dinata

Andrew Dinata is a content creator who has been creating content daily since 2021. “Because everyone deserves to be happy.” Andrew lives and creates his content by those words. He has reached thousands of people with his philanthropist content, donating millions of rupiah to those in need and spreading the joy of sharing through the lens of social media. Achiruddin Islami (Odi) (Bandung)

Achiruddin Islami or Odi, better known as @creativewithod on social media, is an educational content creator who discusses creative and technological industries such as AI. Odi, or @creativewithod, is also one of TikTok’s official education creator partners and a mentor who often educates about digital marketing and affiliate marketing on social media platforms. Odi passionately provides education about technology, digital marketing, and social media strategies to inspire many people.

Firdaus Aulia Rahman (Bandung)

Firdaus Aulia Rahman, often called Daus, is part of the Fear of Missing Out (FOMO) generation. Currently developing his ideas and creativity through small media with his campus friends at UP! Media. Apart from that, Daus is also busy working as a Community Engagement Officer at noovoleum, which focuses on the environment and energy. It’s a bit multidisciplinary, but knowing many things is nice!

Sahrul Imam (Bandung)

Sahrul Imam is a recent graduate majoring in journalism. Sahrul is also a diversity activist at Komunitas Sajajar in Tasikmalaya, West Java, with experience setting up a media named berkelanagarut and has worked at Gentra Priangan. Now, Sahrul is a freelance photographer and digital marketer. Sahrul is also pursuing in creating documentary films through his production house @scenedcut, which he recently founded.

Adora Beata Bethari (Bandung)

Bea Bethari is a female sociopreneur in waste management and processing services called Plastavfall Solution, which was built in 2016. Apart from that, Bea created a foundation called Cendayam Tanah Raya, which focuses on voicing environmental, educational, and social issues. Neng Vivie Nurfauziah Rukmini (Bandung)

Nurfauziah Vivi is a socio-political communication activist who focuses from a societal and cultural perspective – experienced in research and writing in several organizations. Nurfa also has a passion for the environment through her pioneering platform @soci0waste and is trying to voice her opinion through his personal Instagram @nurfauziahvivi.

Kirana Norma Chandra (Yogyakarta)

Kiku Miu is a Japanese culture enthusiast who works as an English tour guide at the Affandi Museum in Yogyakarta. As one of the grantees from Creator Space Yogyakarta, she was able to bridge her usual anime and manga content with FORB issues. One of her pieces of content went viral with millions of views. Her TikTok is @Kiku_miu and her Instagram is @kikumiu_.

Azis Purnawan Putra (Yogyakarta)

Azis Purnawan Putera, often called Putra, is an HIV counselor at Yayasan Vesta Indonesia and has been active in HIV prevention issues since 2017. In his spare time, Putra is also involved in creating social media content, whether educational content related to HIV and gender diversity or just travel and food content. Other than that, Putra also enjoys watching films and is a cat lover. Putra currently has more than 20 cats being looked after at his home. Firda Ainun Ula & Syaima Sabine Fasawwa (Yogyakarta)

Firda Ainun Ula is a youth activist at the Rifka Annisa Women Crisis Center to end violence against women. A youth interest issues sexual health, human rights, democracy, and ecology. A youth learner who works with love and struggles with strategies to be empowered and empowering.

Syaima Sabine Fasawwa is a youth activist who works on ending violence against women, sexual health, and human rights – a learner who believes that everyone has a unique background and always deserves respect.

Suzash Gribisy R (Yogyakarta)

Suzash Gribisy Rabbani graduated from Indonesian Literature at Gadjah Mada University in 2018 and has several writing experiences in the form of social media content, novels, and podcast audio series. Suzash also voices literacy and social issues through stories and art, which can be seen on the Instagram platform @suzaash and Medium: Suzash Gribisy.

Roudhotul Jannah (Solo)

Roudhotul Jannah is a Master’s student in the Interdisciplinary Islamic Studies Study Program concentrating on Islam and Gender Studies at UIN Sunan Kalijaga. She is also active in several organizations and youth communities working on social and humanitarian issues, which are Solo Bersimfoni, the Anti-Indonesian Human Trafficking Crime Youth Taskforce, and the Central Java Peace Ambassador. Era Wijaya (Solo)

Era Wijaya S is a mother who also works as an illustrator, content creator, and educator. Her content talks a lot about family education, culture, and literacy. Since 2019, she has been actively initiating various family activities with her community, @playdatesoloraya.

Yemima Aurellia Amorita MN (Solo)

Yemima Aurellia Amorita, MN, is a 20-year-old university student majoring in pharmacy. Yemima is also part of the Pemuda Penggerak as a member of the Program Division, which actively voices child protection issues, especially in the Greater Solo area. Aligned with her community activity through her Instagram account, Yemima also actively raises awareness about child protection issues through her youth perspective.

Kristiyanto (Solo)

Kristiyanto is often called Jalikarta, or Jali. Jali is a content creator who focuses on tourism, which involves voluntary participation in a social or environmental aspect of the tourist destination. Jali is also actively involved in Generasi Pesona Indonesia and is voicing his views on sustainable tourism on @jalikarta.

Nur Fitri Handayani (Solo)

Nur Fitri Handayani, often called @mbaknurfitri, is a local believer based in Semarang. She is also a university student majoring in local beliefs studies. With a strong determination, she actively voices the freedom of religion/belief, especially for other local believers. She is also involved in several interfaith organizations to show her commitment to building harmony among diversity.
